Nestled in the heart of historic downtown, The Downbeat is Hickory, North Carolina’s first premier jazz, vinyl, small plates and cocktail lounge. Here, music is experienced intimately, accompanied by the soft hum of conversation that forms a living backdrop as jazz flows from both vinyl and stage.

We spotlight revered musicians alongside rising artists, spinning records and hosting live performances that honor the artistry, cadence, and resonance behind every note.

Tickets and reservations are recommended to be purchased prior to an event. If not sold out, tickets may be purchased here or on a first-come, first serve basis at the door for each performance. Join us for cocktails after the show in the lounge or on the outdoor patio where no tickets and cover are required.
